The Edge en Propaganda comenta: Empecé la música de esta canción en la carretera. Era solo un boceto rápido, pero sabía que tenía algo especial. Se desarrolló muchísimo y escuchar la versión terminada es emocionante. Lo que Bono, Adam y Larry han hecho con ella es increíble. Es mi canción favorita de U2 en años. Trata sobre la amistad y, aunque aceptamos lo absurdo que resulta hablar de fe y amistad en tiempos tan nihilistas, no nos arrepentimos… Es emocionalmente directa, lo que para algunos resultará poco cool.

Pero ese es precisamente el punto… ser confrontacional y desafiar esa frialdad que se cuela en las relaciones. Al escucharla después de ‘Song for Hal’, me recuerda no dar a los amigos por sentado… ninguno de nosotros sabe cuánto tiempo nos queda aquí… La gente me dice que nuestra música les impacta mucho emocionalmente. Lo que no saben es que nosotros sentimos lo mismo cuando tocamos las canciones. Cuando das con algo honesto y sin adornos, conecta.
