La web oficial U2.com anunció el lanzamiento del nuevo DVD y Blu Ray del concierto de París del pasado iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015.
La película recoge un momento muy emotivo de esta innovadora gira: los dos conciertos especiales que el grupo irlandés dio en la capital francesa en diciembre del año pasado. Además de incluir las actuaciones invitadas de Eagles of Death Metal y Patti Smith, U2 – iNNOCENCE eXPERIENCE - Live In Paris traslada a los espectadores a París de la mano de Bono, Adam Clayton, The Edge y Larry Mullen Jr. Las ediciones especiales también incluyen escenas inéditas con el grupo y los técnicos; una entrevista con el director Hamish Hamilton; imágenes exclusivas de la gira con narración de Gavin Friday, gran amigo del grupo; videoclips; temas en directo adicionales grabados durante la gira; y mucho más.
“Me imponía mucho dirigir ‘iNNOCENCE eXPERIENCE ’, comenta el director Hamish Hamilton, con quien ya colaboraron en la gira Elevation Tour de 2001. “Ha sido una pesadilla desde el punto de vista técnico y una montaña rusa desde el punto de vista creativo. Me ha supuesto un reto a todos los niveles... Lo más increíble es la combinación de arcos narrativos y emocionales que experimentan los espectadores al asistir a estas actuaciones. Conciertos buenos hay a puñados, pero los conciertos espectaculares se cuentan con los dedos de una mano”.
U2 arrancó la gira iNNOCENCE eXPERIENCE en Vancouver en mayo de 2015 y hasta la fecha han actuado ante más de 1,2 millones de fans en 22 ciudades de Europa y Norteamérica. Con un diseño circular, la gira consta de varios escenarios además de una descomunal pantalla LED de 30,5 metros suspendida por encima de una pasarela de 36 metros que recorre el recinto de punta a punta, además de un sistema de sonido envolvente radicalmente innovador.
En U2 – iNNOCENCE eXPERIENCE - Live In Paris el grupo interpreta algunas de las canciones más aclamadas de su último disco ‘Songs of Innocence’, entre ellas Cedarwood Road, Song For Someone y una versión acústica de Every Breaking Wave, además de repasar su discografía con grandes éxitos como I Will Follow, Pride (In the Name of Love), Vertigo, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Until The End of the World, Beautiful Day y Where The Streets Have No Name, entre muchas otras.
